Rohtang Pass

The postern to Lahaul and Spiti Valley in the state of Himachal Pradesh, Rohtang Pass is one of the most exciting Manali tourist places. Located at a distance of 51km from the town of Manali, it falls on the Manali- Keylong Highway and is one of the highest and most spectacular passes in the region.

The pass acts as a natural divide between the valleys of Kullu and mountains of Lahaul and Spiti creating a beautiful amalgamation of Hindu and Buddhist cultures. The slope attracts people from all over the region to appreciate its beautiful views and fresh snow! However, be warned that to visit this pass one needs permission from the Indian Army that clears the snow in order to let the vehicles pass smoothly.
